As a charitable service-based nonprofit organization (NPO) coordinating individuals, businesses, academia and governments with interests in High Technology, Big Data and Cybersecurity, we bridge the global digital divide by providing supercomputing access, applied research, training, tools and other digital incentives “to empower the underserved and disadvantaged.”
The SHPCP was formed by a group of Senior Industry Professionals to provide open forum meetings that addressthe availability, use and evaluation of existing technology and to keep the HPC user community informed about emerging technology.
To accomplish this the Society was established with the goal to be a vendor neutral, user centric organization. The benefits that will be derived by the members will come from the two-way communications provided through open forum meetings that will bring the HPC community together to share technology, user experiences and maintain dialogs among its worldwide membership.
Meetings will address the areas of interest that have been defined by the HPC community and will be conducted as: special interest group, round table discussion, and general membership meetings. Webinars will also be conducted to present key topics to the worldwide membership. Depending on the topic, the meetings will be conducted according to the following:
The Society’s website has been designed to keep the membership informed about current events, the history of the Society’s past events, make the membership aware of new technology, promote sponsorship and provide a platform for the members to communicate with one another and the Society’s administrators.
Some of the largest and most forward thinking HPC vendors in the Industry currently sponsor the SHPCP. You may go the Sponsor page of this website to review the list of sponsors and the capabilities that they contribute to the HPC community.
